The general public needs to know the truth!

If the MTA was a State Agency . . .would the Union not be in disscussions with the Governor?

If the MTA was a City Agency . . .would the Union not be in negotions with the Mayor?

The MTA is a privately owned company with billions in revenue. Don't forget it owns LIRR,Metro North,LI Bus and Bridges and Tunnels. Not to mention what they own in other states! Use an E-Z pass? Use it on trips. I went to Virginia last summers w/ E-Zpass all the way to Virginia. So the MTA has a stake inthe bridgees and tunnels along the east coast! MTA continually cries broke at contract time, then miraculously finds cash as soon as the t's are crossed and the I's dotted. I work for the ATU local 1056. I am also on strike! What you "good" people don't know is that me and my brothers and sisters worked for 2.5 years without a contract. Why should we do it again? But never fear when it is your turn, you WILL remember this. My wife works for Verizon they just had their pension eraticated. Anyone without 13 years of service loses medical benefits the moment they stop working! Sounds like fun, doesn't it. WE Stand UPfor a reason, understand it or not. And if we were not as important as the police or fire depts. WHY ARE YOU ALL CRYING?
