reason for the massive exit from 1988-98
need we say more ?

how are the test scores of the kids compared to the past ?

Gregg you are right but the scores went down cause the pta fell apart. New parents unconcerned. A school board with members whose kids didnt go to the schools. I mean a frend of mine who lives in jersey with kid in jersey school is a member of the nyc board of ed. He has no interest in quality there. In fact its a way for the rich to maintain a low ed level on the poor. Poor have no choice but to send kids to public local school and rich make sure theres no choice and the quality is low on purpose. Future workers for my sons factory .
