Subject: money?

Im a bit turned off by Glenns comment that Canarsie kids who grew up to be doctors did it for $ or status or cause thats wat jewish moms wanted their sons to do. After HS many of us had no idea as to what to do in life. Since we didnt mind school It made sense to go to Brooklyn College. i mean if youre going to look for a direction in life why not do it 3 hrs a day and avoid the old 9 to 5. looking for direction in an 8 hr a day job can kill you. Stay out of the ol 9 to 5 as long as possible. In college if you see your goal major in it then work .But if you dont see your goal then stay in college cause its smart to avoid the 9 to 5 as long as possible if you dont know what you want in life. Med school is the longest study so thats the place to go. But the jig is up at 26. My frewnd barry didnt know wat to do after hs but he hated studying. He went to the job market 9 to 5 to find his direction. He never found it but at 26 he had kids and couldnt search longer. He had to stay put in watever job he had at the time. I had to leavev school at 26 cause there was no more.I got a job as a doctorand the 9 to 5 had finally caught me. The money is good but it would be better to be in a job you like you choose even without college. So med school was is a hiding place for those who dont know what they want. The idea is if you dont know wat to do its better to have a 9 to 12 than to 5 day, big vacations and plenty of girls .If there had been a nother major at college with more yrs like sanitation control that wud be where we wud have gone.

I think med school was my choice cause I knew there was $ in it and I didnt mind studying. Im not was not good at studying but there are PLENTY of med schools in ny state for way below average students . So if a person wants to be a money making doctor , being intelligent is not needed. If one is bored in school in hs then thats a problem. 8 yrs of school can kill you if u dont like school. My pal gary was smarter than me but he hared school. the 4 walls got to him so after hs he got a job. I was way less on the ball but i liked school; the friends the jokes the girls. I didnt like studying though. But in hs I only studied once a week .Also in Brook Collge.I mean if you like school it dont mean you like readin all day and takin tests. It means you like the mileau, the gang .The subject matter was bolony.Passing in SHHS was not easy but I got c mostly .In BCollege I got c again. Then went to a below average med school. Married a doctor also way below average and here we are. That too is essential; if u go to med school for $ youll get double cause youll marry a doctor also. If a couple earns 350000 a yr they got a houise costing 1200000$. Some smart people dont go to college and some shmuks do.Theres a med law school for anybody . But you gotta do time in the walls.

Maybe the two doctor's should have paid more attention in English class instead of goofing off avoiding responsibilities! I hope they could read their Physician Desk Reference books oh thats right Doctors dont have to know what the words mean they hust say PDR!!
