The Old Days

If you lived in canarsie, no matter your age or where you live now, you have many memories. I sometimes think of the old days. I am so happy where I am in my life, yet those where the best days. Everyone was there for eachother and you knew if you walked home late someone was always sitting in front of their house and they kept an eye out for you. Staten Island or anywhere else will never be that way. The adults hungout on the steps (late). Everyone said hello to eachother. Those were the days. The good old days. One thing that is sad is my children will never experence a close knit neighborhood like canarsie was.
