well i didnt know you but i was in helen hawreys brothers class in 242,may even have class pic. i still have em from ol 242,went to 114 too,211,and jefferson high,pre chs. ilived in breukelen projects from 1951 to 69 loved old canarsie swamps before seaview was built. it was a nature playland for kids back then,wish i could have taken some photos of ol c. i am in my mid 50`s you??

Hi Old friend. So you knew Nick Hawrey?His sister Helen was my best,best friend. Nick was in my sister Rosemaries'
class. I remember all of the things you mentioned and more How about wooden sidewalks in parts of Canarsie. I remember that I loved Canarsie it was a wonderful place for a kid to grow up in. It's not nice now is it. I am in my late 50's. Thanks for answering I'm sorry I took so long to reply.
