You are last of the Canarsieians. We moved out years ago.I was tired of having our cars stolen every other month.
Florida is great. All the same people from Canarsie are down here. Life is much better here, just like it was in Canarsie 25 years ago. Good luck to you.

where I live now I don't have to lock my car doors (I do anyway, I can't help it). My kids can play in grassy fields, no broken glass at the parks, 18 kids in a class in the public schools. Less traffic, polite store clerks (mostly), I could go on... I loved growing up in canarsie but had to get out and raise my kids elsewhere. Still a proud Brooklyn girl, but happy to be living in and raising my family in the country.
