Many Williams, indeed. My gggggrandfather was William and he lived in PA during the revolutionary war. He arrived with his brothers John and James in 1770 and lived in Cumberland County, PA until 1790 when he moved to GA. John and his family stayed in PA, so it is more likely that you are looking for that family. York is just adjacent to Cumberland.
