Don't know if its any help, we looked into our family tree and found that we were decended from a Charlotte Appleby of Prestwich, North Manchester. her son, Thomas Appleby maried my grandmother Florence Smith and had 4 children, Derek, Alan, Norma and Ken. With 10 great great grandchildren the Appleby line is going strongly forward! Our problem is the trail stops at Charlotte, we have no record of Thomas' father.
