錯誤的類比。把「公屋居民飼養寵物」類比為「我天天都穿條迷你裙上課」，事後「過了一個多月才在校服檢查中被抓到,然後記了過」。於是你不再穿迷你裙上課，但請問你事後如何處理那條迷你裙？放在抽屜底，把它丟掉，還是把它剪掉？如今，房署要求居民不要再飼養寵物，居民要處理的是那些他們一直飼養的寵物，難道就如丟掉迷你裙一般容易嗎？當中的分別正是寵物是生命，迷你裙是死物，處理手法就不必然相同。
在這裡，不妨另作比喻吧！假如校規規定學生不能把頭髮染得五顏六色，而你就是這樣做，後來被抓到,然後記了過。請問你如何處理你的頭髮？你會剪掉還是染回黑色？
錯誤的類比，不必然有助分析問題。
