That is one I missed getting. yes rare at the time.

Still have some 8 tracks of Sam and Dave and motown hits and a while back I picked up a few tracks off the internet and made a few 4 track tapes which I have every intention of some day putting on CD or into a music program either mp3 an alternative.

I really liked a lot of the early stones albums before they got more sophisticated back when they were picking up tunes at the new york library archives and making them their own as well as writing a few of their own in that style.

I grew up with NY radio of course as well as a high school that was very much into soul and r&b artists.
Of course when I was in a band we did top 40 covers like most high school bands but we had a raqther large number of tunes in all sorts of styles.
Speaking of the period ....

Dock of the bay album , still one of my favorites.
