Bad here with lots of trees coming down and taking out power. other than that things are rather good. GAs rationing on an even odd day schedule till they get power back and deliveries again. PSE&G restored the exxon and Hess refineries the other day so they don't need to bring in fuel by truck from Pennsy for a lot of stations when they get power back. My neighbor has been driving to Easton after rush hour to get gas for all his friends so they can run their generators ( Not the first station the next ones have no lines ).
Speaking of gas lines there was one over a mile long that blocked off a garden state parkway entrance ramp yesterday so no one could get on there. no one in the line would take the chance that the person they might let through would not butt into the gas line instead.

I'm running off an extension cord from my neighbors house for minimal power for the computer, a phone with an answering machine in the base, and the coffee maker at present.
Burning wood in the fire place for heat just to keep it from getting too cold in her since it will go below freezing overnight for a few days at least. Plenty of wood out there just no way to efficiently cut it to burn and the cut wood from last year is sort of under the downed trees so mighe not be able to use it all unless I can get some of the big stuff removed which is tomorrows project along with covering up a broken window in the attic space so all the heat doesn't leak out through the unfinished part of the house.
Got plenty of time to do stuff though just no light when the sun is down to do it with.
as someone said last year after the noreaster snowstorm while everything was out :

"I hate living in the 18th century "

if I wanted that it would be by choice not outside influence. Candles and fireplaces were not designed for efficiency. Not even a franklin stove which , while he designed the first one was actually perfected by someone else in the 1800s ( I need a fireplace insert so all the heat generated doesn't go up and out the chimney instead of into the house itself.

only other damage was a small hole in the roof which is tarped over but also probably a heat leak... maybe I can find a bit of insulation and close off the inside...

Hope you got through with little or no damage Craig.
