  Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this will be placed upon the "Front-Porch-Bulletin-Board-of-Messages" or not but either way I would like to say hello to the counselors that got to Farwell this weekend. (Yesterday, was it?)
  Believe it or not my school still has finals until...two days before first session and I go up to camp.
  I can't wait to see everyone. This year went by too quickly...
  Haaaaaave fun this weeeeeeek. I hope its beautiful up there where the temperature is still decent.

  Hi Bob, Charyl & everyone else,
  
  It has been 10 years since my first summer at camp, I can’t believe it’s been that long I remember like yesterday Simon picking us up from White River Junction and get our first look at our home of 9 weeks from across the lake. Every year at the start of the summer I wish I was back with you all at Farwell. I have so many fantastic memories from my 3 summers I spent in Vermont, even now I’ll still tell people stories of the sort of things we got up to like Popfest & Gold Rush to name a few. I have so much to thank Farwell for, my life has changed completely due to my time there for one I would never have met my husband – who I met through a really good friend I met at Camp. I know some of the most amazing people and we all will always have one special place in common. It always makes me smile when I light (what’s left of them anyway) my Farwell candles on Christmas eve just thinking that all around the world friends are doing the exact same.
  
  The real reason I’m posting is just to say to all of your new staff enjoy every minute of your summer, soak everything up. There maybe times when you get homesick and want to go home but don’t trust me these next nine weeks will be some of the best of your lives. But most of all have fun!!!
  
  Thank you so much again I am and always will be Farwell born & Farwell bred. Enjoy your summer!

  This is insane!
  School went by tremendously fast. It's unbelieveable I'm almost a junior...
  I cannot wait to go up to camp. I'm sure it's lovely up there. Right now in New York it's 90 degrees.

  Hey Everybody!!!
  Everytime I come to the message board, I'm disappointed by how few people actually write on it, yet I've only written for it once! So I decided it was time to write something.
  Anyways, NYC is freezing cold, and we are about to get hit was ANOTHER huge storm. Hopefully it will be our 3RD snow day for the private schools! WOOHOO. But otherwise life is good, and I'm getting through my first year of high school successfully. And my sister Gillian and her friend Sophie who were both campers last year are doing well in middle school.
  Words cannot describe how excited I am to be a CIT for the 1st session this year. I have always looked up to the CITS, and I think it will be such a great experience (funny story actually, I ran into one of the CIT's from 2 years ago last week! such a small world). It will be so much fun to share this experience with girls that were in my cabin last year, and girls that are returning to Farwell after not having attended for a few years. AND I'm also looking forward to meeting all the new staff and campers! Meeting new people is such a great part of camp farwell.
  Anyways, I love and miss you all! And cannot wait to see everybody this summer! Please keep in contact throughout the rest of the year, (through facebook or email nycstar72895@aim.com)

  Hi!!
  I was skiing in VT this weekend and decided to visit camp on the way back home!! I met Callie the new puppy!! She is soooooooooo sweet and really cute!!!!! Incase anyone was looking @ the webcam at the time.. I was the one in the green dinosaur hat and I was showing my friend around, who was in a panda hat. I even walked on the lake!!! it is frozen SOLID!! I saw Charyl, but Bob wasn't there. It was soooooo cool to see camp in the middle of winter!! The sports field is getting a lot bigger!!!! Can't wait to see it when it's finished!!!
  Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for very long and I was sad to leave...
  Can't wait until summer!!! only 5 more months!!

  Hey everybody, was just checking out the website to see if any of u girlies had writen much....I cant wait to get my DVD!
  
  At the moment I'm in sunny Spain....its still pretty warm here....and according to google earlier in the week it was supposed to snow in Vermont...so that pretty strange!
  
  My new uni is like returning back to school...its such a strange place...a definate culture shock! If any of you guy get the opportunity to travel when your older this is a place worth seeing anyhow.

  Irati is visiting in Scotland and we've been talking about camp soooo much it has made us miss everybody like crazy! We are already looking forward to doing it again in 2010!! (I think it's the summer catch phrase Shelby!)
  
  We met with Clare Campbell today, who was a riding counsellor in 2008 and we were telling her she has to come back next year!
  
  We especially miss all our campers and all the girls we got to spend time with, and we really hope you're not taller than us next year!
  
  We hope you are having a good year, and we can't wait until the video yearbook comes out!!

  Lexie and her daughter came by today.
  
  We enjoyed watching the baby be a baby.
  Her eyes followed Lexie and when Lexie
  wasn't in view, she would turn her body
  around so she could see her mommy.
  
  Lexie's lively dogs expected us to
  throw sticks. The exercise was good.
  We got tired before they did.
  
  The early morning sky was a spectacular red
  this morning. Everything below was bathed in
  a red glow.
  The lake reflected it.
  The few areas of sky that weren't
  red were a brilliant blue.
  Nature's unexpected display was awesome but changed
  quickly to normal morning skies.
  
  In spite of old timer predictions concerning red
  skies in the morning, we didn't
  have bad weather today. Some clouds, some sun.
  Bob sat outside reading for a while.
  
  We hope you will post what's happening in your world.
  Inquiring minds of summer friends want to know.

Yesterday my parents and I drove from our home in MA down to Baltimore, MD and tomorrow I move into my dorm room at Johns Hopkins University!   By this time the counselors should have left and the camp should be packed up.
  The Hanson's and directors are ready to move on with the rest of the summer and then to the rest of the year, knowing that next year they will have to do exactly the same. [HOW DO YOU DO THAT?! ITS CRAZY!]
  I want to thank everyone who came to camp this summer and shared those seven weeks with me. After camp ended I was immediately thrust back into the real world with errands to run and things to do. But you girls have all given me so much confidence in myself. I know I speak for Victoria T., when I say she has realized the same.
  So girls, keep coming back year after year. Farwell brings out the strengths in yourselves and makes you love who you truly are.
  Have a great year everyone, and EMAIL ME! I LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOUR'E DOING!

  Hey Everyone,
  i just got back from my trip to California. It started out as just to Yosemite, but it then included San Francisco due to forest fires and rock slides. Quite the adventure! I almost got the hang out with a few counselors visiting there, but sadly it didn't work out. I heard they are having a great time though! I was just looking at all the pictures from second session and was wondering if the pictures of banquet and ice cream night were going to be posted?? I would love to see them, as i enjoy looking at all the pictures on Bunk 1
