I agree with Alyxa that Janet's possible suicidal thoughts do place an additional burden on her family members and doctor. It is now their responsibility to make sure she maintains a positive perception of life. I also agree with Alyxa that this is a lot to ask of people. It is almost as if Janet's life is in their hands. And if Janet's situation were to get really bad, it would have to be their responsibility to make it seem as if things were okay, and this can be extremely hard. If Janet were to resort to suicide, her family and doctor would feel responsible, and that is not right. I agree with Alyxa that this seems like an unfair burden, however, I think it is a job that most families would take on without a second thought.
