I agree with Natalie that Janet now has an alarming insight into her future. However, I do not believe that Janet wa quite aware of how alarming her condition really was until she received her results and found that she had ingerited the genes from both her father and her morther for Alzheimer's. Now that she does know, she can start preparing for the future. I believe Janet's family had a very good idea about Janet's condition since Janet had been prepairing for it for most of her life, but I think it wiuld be beneficial to Janet if she explined the whole situation to her family. I agree with Natalie's idea about lookign into gene therapy and other studies that may help Janet in the future. I think that while she is healthy, Janet should do as much as she can to keep herself busy so she can feel like she is trying to help herself and so she is not spending so much time worrying about her condition therefore not making herself so upset. I liked Natalie's suggestion of Janet and her family supporting Alzheimer's research funds. If Janet cannot be completely helped, then maybe someone in the future can with Janet's help. I also agree that Janey and her family might want to see a genetic counselor to help Janert cope with her condition and to also help her family understand the situation more clearly and how they should respond.
