Regarding your disappointment in actor's commentaries: I don't have a vast experience, but I have to say that every one I've listened to has been silly fun. BTVS, ATS, Babylon5, LOTR, (uh, I'm sure there were more, I'm coming off as a geek here. Oh yeah!) DeLoverly (actually, Kline was pretty interesting in that one), something with Ben Kingsley where he was pretty good.

Ok, I've changed my mind. Actors commentaries on TV shows have been silly fun. I wonder if, because of the way TV is made (as you have so aptly described), the actors just don't get as invested in the character as the might in a film. Although, they sure do perform many more minutes/hours in a TV show.

Any actors out there want to comment on this?
