Aidan, now Lord of Cafall, strode briskly from his hiding place under a cart by the side of the rode. He wasn't a coward, but he'd had no blade with him. To try to fight would have been foolhardy, he had no doubts about that. After all, even the people with weapons had been hurt. He silently confirmed his suspicions as he approached the center of the former site of mayhem. His parents were quite dead. He didn't let his emotions show. There would be time for tears later. He watched as his sister fainted, unable to do anything to help her. He knelt by her, and lifted her head from the rough, broken cobblestone street and brushed the stray hair out of her face with brotherly love. Poor An. He looked up at the others. "Now what? My carriage may be gone, but you're still loitering. We need to get people cleaned up. When An comes to, she can help with that. She has some minor abilities in healing magic. Anyone else have any? Anyone know anything of herbs or the like?" Comfortable in command, and not sure how long he'd be permitted by these people to hold that position, he did what he could to set them all on the right track.
