Frederick, momentarily taken aback by the young lady in the carriage, chuckled softly to himself. Milord? Had anyone at home heard him called such, they would have burst into uproarious laughter. After all, he was only the third in the line to receive the estate. "Well Mistress Cafall, there is no need to call me 'milord'. I am but the third son of Lord Manfredd von Braun, of Velrade." Performing a slight bow to Angharad, he gently smiled. "Indeed, this is one of your horses. I've given him the name of Swiftwind. Though, at present, he looks more like 'Mudbath' to me." With this, he promptly silenced himself, as here was a house of far more importance and standing than his own, and he was well out of line, being little more than a common soldier, and a noble only insofar as he was his father's son.

Frederick, thinking he'd heard something, glanced behind himself, unsure of what it was. Shrugging, he returned to the carriage, until he had heard the voice of another young woman, and once again glanced over his shoulder. He blinked for a moment, making sure he wasn't seeing things, and realized that this rather tall young woman, who easily stood a head higher than himself, when he was dismounted, was speaking to him. "Please, do not call me 'milord'. I have no reason to be referred to as such, yet. But first miss, might I inquire as to the reason you must speak with the passengers of this carriage?"
