She whistled to a couple, then noticed the injured mare. Worried, she ran back from the fence to her truck, getting a first aid bag out of it. She ran back to the fence and climbed over it. She ran across the grass toward the mare, but stopped around ten yards away, since injured animals are often dangerous. "Hey, girl, don't be scared of me, I'm not going to hurt you!" she called to the horse, slowly walking forward. "I want to help you, since that looks like a nasty cut.
