new condition wig for sale. I am selling an Irish dance wig which has only been worn twice. It is color 16b I believe and is a golden blonde. It is too light for my daughter and that is the reason for selling. Please email me for picture request. I paid $130 for the wig and am asking$80 OBO. I would also be open to trading for a wig in similar condition in a darker/honey blonde or light brown color. Please feel free to email me with questions. -- vdancemom, 12:33:51 03/24/04 Wed
Re: Looking for a costume-maker where I can be assured of good quality (fabric, workmanship, etc.) Also, is there a dress company that holds up particularly well for used dresses, in case we find one at resale? (Quality & value more important than speed of delivery, to us.) Sharing your experiences would be helpful! -- Laura, 04:27:06 03/23/04 Tue

you could have a look at your next feis. there are some stalls that actually have bags available. in the meantime, try a green garbage bag over the dress to protect until you can get a proper bag. prices vary from place to place so cost will depend on where you live. some dressmakers even make bags to order. hope this helps. -- aus dd mum, 03:52:00 02/19/04 Thu

People like this will suck the life out of you! My parents always taught me to ask for favors only as a last resort, and to pay back the person who helped ten-fold. (inside) -- Tired of being used, 11:05:03 02/17/04 Tue

This is what worked for us..... -- mom of 2, 21:24:54 02/01/04 Sun
Thanks! It's funny how the inexpensive products work the best! I was channel surfing one day, and saw heavy metal bands discussing their big hair from the 80's (not a fan of metal, but I couldn't take my eyes off their huge, teased hair...it seemed to have a life of it's own). Anyway, one of the guys said they all used "aquanet" - you know, the cheap stuff in the purple can. I think it's the same brand that our moms used that was responsible for destroying the ozone layer! Good for you- my perspective comes from being a mom of a 15 year old dd, on her 8th year, open champ. Since your dd seems motivated and happy, just let it flow and enjoy it as it comes. Her teacher will undoubtedly push her forward when she sees it's appropriate. I really think it's best to be an observer and supporter through her development in ID.You'll both enjoy it more that way over time, particularly when she's a teen! -- been there, 07:34:14 04/26/03 Sat
