Hey Laura how are you?

This project is establish which genes contribute to HD and the aging process. I asked them to look in to Vaginal Hyperplasia as a side line. It is separate from the genome project that is currently underway and the last I heard within months of completion. What they are looking for is the genes that cause HD and the aging process and try to develope testing for the genes. That was the basic way it was presented to me when I asked about it. I mean I was thrilled to find out they were trying to create a test once they isolate the genes for HD and aging. Stop and think what effect that will have on dog owners all over the world. Won't it be great to be able to test your dogs to see if they carry an HD gene as recessive or dominant?? It will change breeding programs all over the world. In my opinion for the better. I am pretty excited about the possible out come of the project. Melinda
