Yes Gary I see that now. It comes from Rigg's Daisy and Jewel. I have hunted with Sonny several times. He can tree a coon. I have raised about as much of that stuff as I can find up close. I bred my Pepper(SpudsxFreebee) to Blackie. Black was by (HawkxLocust Creek Wendy). I also bred her to Rufus by Blackie x Cox's Nellie. They were extra nice dogs. I have also bred Pepper to My Jet dog by BlackiexBatGirl.
I brought Spuds here for a while but could not get a female bred to him. He was real old then. We even tried to get enough semen to A.I. a female but the quality was not there. Last summer I found a male from SpudsxFrebee.A younger litter same as my Pepper. I brought him back to Ohio and bred 1 female. She did not whelp. His semen was good for an 11+ year old dog. I guess it was not meant to be. I was excited about that prospect. That male was named "Roy" and he was located in Jerseyville Illinois. He was just hunted and had never thrown a pup. Kind of a shame. The Spuds x Freebee cross was made 3 times and put some coon dogs on the ground. I have been very fortunae to have the help of a lot of good leopard men in this project. Bob Walters who I can never thank enough. Dave Bray,Bruce Smart, Tom Boysel, Rex Laker and Dan Noble to name a few. With the efforts of fellas likes these assisting you it s-u-r-e helps. I am always interested in hearing about any leopard that is really shining whether in the woods or breeding pen. The Hawk decendants, I just kinda take a special look. Anymore out there??
