The UKC already reconizes the Leopard Cur, no need reclassifying it just so its able to compete. I would rater like to see it were any dog in the UKC scenthound group is allowed(yes the Leopard, Treeing, Black Mouth, Stephens, and Moutain Cur are in the UKC Scenthound group http://www.ukcdogs.com/RegistrationBreeds.htm ), in UKC Nite Hunts, Benchshows, Field Trials, ect. I know I would go to those things if it wasent for that BS hounds only rule. I think you would see more cur guys show if they could compete, thus promoting the breed. How many guys or familys hunt more then one dog in a night or weekend, from what I have seen and read, alot do. And the main reason I see that people dont look at Curs is that reason, they are not allowed to enter UKC events even though they are reconized by the UKC. Allow them I and I think you will see the number of Cur hunters go up.
