Thanks Perry and Randy,

I will be looking for a treadmill at garage sales good idea. The lake is big enough, except the shoreline is rugged, would be hard to get him into shore. Our canadian cur swims with us in the summer out to the raft, she also fetches some sticks now and again. I may try to lead him around in the rowboat a bit. The big question is why not run him on the asphalt on a leash out the window of my 2wd toyota ? Our local roads are not too busy on the weekends and evenings. I did this the day after I placed the last post and it worked great! I am wondering if this will ruin his feet, or toughen them and keep his nails nice?
