When Annie devised this plan, she had been tossed out of her home by Ryan, with no place provided for her or their child - a child Ryan didn't know or want until they moved to Pine Valley. He had taken custody of Emma. Annie loves Emma. Ryan loves Greenlee. Mostly, Ryan loves Ryan. Annie devised a plan that would keep Emma with her and give them something to live on. I don't blame her to not trust the courts to place Emma. If Ryan had actually been with their daughter and not trying to get into Greenlee's pants, he'd still have Emma with him. He didn't care enough. Annie does. It's not so much revenge - though Ryan and Greenlee deserve it - it's about keeping her daughter with her.
