Personally I don't think the people who are currently running the BBC could care less about the "overspill" expat radio audience in Europe, but one thing is absolutely certain:

UNTIL THE END OF MARCH WE HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE THE BBC CHARTER AMENDED.

WE SHOULD THEREFORE ALL WRITE TO THE DCMS IMMEDIATELY TO DEMAND THAT THE BBC BE OBLIGED TO MAKE ALL THE RADIOS AVAILABLE BY SATELLITE TO THE WHOLE OF EUROPE.

bbccharterreview@culture.gsi.gov.uk

ONCE THE CHARTER IS AMENDED THE BBC WILL JUST HAVE TO PUT ALL THE RADIO SERVICES BACK ON PAN-EUROPEAN TRANSPONDERS AND KEEP THEM THERE.

AND GREG DYKE, ROGER BOLTON & Co. WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO CLAIM THAT THERE'S NOTHING IN THE CHARTER ABOUT BRITISH EXPAT RADIO AUDIENCES ON THE CONTINENT.
