I have had another reply from an MEP in Brussels and it is clear that we really do need to 'bombard' the EU with emails and letters if we expect any action. Sky seem to have done a good job at persuading them that their is no demand.

I therefore believe that all nationalities should join in and shout loudly! I will post a copy of my letter and/or email to (when I have written it) so that those who want can copy & paste in their own communications. It may be of help to those of us who don't have time to write a complete letter and give some ideas of what to say (or not say).

However can someone confirm that our MEPs in Brussels really do have British TV to watch legally as I intend to make that point in my submission (if it true).
