 I have have received the following reply to one of the emails I sent to the four UK Euro MPs on the above subject following the recent posting on this page by Mike in respect of the petition on 'Cross Frontier TV' and his request to write to our MEP's:

"Thank you for your email. I have much sympathy with what you say. I actually highlighted this problem in my report to the Parliament on 'TV Without Frontiers' that was adopted in September.

Last week BSkyB presented their perspective on the case but we have held the petition open until next February when the petitioner Professor Miley will be able to be present.

It could be helpful if you could get other people who feel as you do to write directly to Commissioner Reding in Brussels but let me have a copy.

The Commission and TV broadcasters try to claim the numbers involved are very small but I am more inclined to accept your position.
