Furthermore, the skate company Volcom that they so 'proudly' have ties with appeales to the very crowd of Green Day loving 'punks' that they trash.
Back in the day they would market the 'underground' skating community while 'endorsing' bands like the Peppers, Infectious Grooves, Suicidal Tendencies and all those trash sounding bands.
Now they market their products to these 'punk' kids because it is easy to brainwash them with images of Green Day, Fallout Boy, Good Charlote, AFI etc etc.
So in essence they're being hypocrites. Talking trash on the very people that they want to 'market' to with their ties to the skateboard/clothing business.

- I'm not looking to get involved in this argument. I listened to the four songs on myspace.com and while it is not terrible I certainly don't see what the big fuss is about these guys. My one question is where and when did Frusciante ever mention this band? I've read pretty much every interview John has done and I don't recall him ever saying he was an NAR fan. Someone who has been posting in this debate has repeatedly stated that John Frusciante digs NAR and I want to read what he has to say about them.
