Her voice cracked and wavered and she cut her self off, avoiding his eye contact as she swallowed and supressed tears. At his touch she flinched backwards involintarily, gasping lightly as his fingers barely brushed her damp, flushed cheek. She withdrew inside of herself with his touch, not because of HIM, but because of touch in general--like a dog just beat, she was skittish, and it showed in her body language as clearly as it seeped in rivers from her eyes.
