Saw Stripped tonight with the whole family. Without exception everyone thought it was hilarious. 200% better than Sexie, but not as good as Dress to Kill, but nothing ever will be. First of all, the Edster's outfit. He looked really trim in semi-tight jeans,a red and white striped long sleeve shirt, boots and tuxedo tails. You might call it the ringmaster look, but it really worked. He intimated that everybody was probably expecting to see him in a dress, but he was a transvestite on hiatus, but he still really was a transvestite. Someone in the audience yelled:"prove it!" He motioned to the person who called out and told him to come up on stage and prove HIS sexuality, and the crowd went wild. He told the guy to watch his previous DVD's, and he might get an idea. I can't make the material sound as funny as Eddie does, but here were a few of the topics: the Stone Age, Hunter-Gatherers, Spartan sheep, Hannibal fighting his war in Latin, the history of the real assassins and how they took hashish, playing scrabble before language, a new take on Noah, Moses, cows and their four stomachs, giraffes talking by doing charades. It really was one hilarious thing after another. He did two straight hours without a break at a very high energy level. His two shows in Minneapolis sold out. I haven't seen a review in the paper yet, but I have to say I was laughing so hard at one point I had tears running down my eyes. My husband, whom we kind of dragged along, was blown away. Being a fan of Eddie's I don't want to sound too fawning, but honestly, he really was great tonight.

Actor Harvey Korman Dies

Harvey Korman, who won four Emmys for his work on "The Carol Burnett Show," died Thursday. He was 81.

Vandals used a hammer and screwdriver to vandalise the Stonehenge ancient monument, the first such incident for decades, officials said Thursday.

The night-time attack by two men last week involved the central megalith in the 5,000-year-old ring of standing stones, with English Heritage saying the vandals could have been looking for a souvenir.

A chip of stone about the size of a large coin was removed, while a 2.5-inch long scratch was left on the Heel Stone, at the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, near Salisbury.

"Thanks to the vigilance and quick action of the security team at Stonehenge, very minimal damage was caused," said a spokeswoman for English Heritage.

"A tiny chip was taken from the north side of the Heel Stone with a screwdriver and hammer, but as soon as the two men were spotted by security guards they escaped over the fence and drove off.

"This is now a matter for the police," she added.

I assume they accept the Roman role in the Crucifixion(???)even though they do not accept Greek or Roman history... Curious that no contemporary accounts include mention of any dinosaurs in the Roman games, which were going hot and heavy at this time...and all the African animals were used;so surely a modest triceratops(how on EARTH do you spell that!?)or something would have been tossed into the arena,maybe a teenager. Also,no accounts of huge lizards plucking any hapless souls from crosses and snacking on them,as they certainly must have done,judging from the behavior of things like Komodo dragons and monitor lizards and crocodilians of whatever sort today...just wondering.
