So I’ve sacked my lawyer. Why not? Anyone can be a lawyer. In fact, I was a lawyer. I ran away from home when I was 11 and set up one of the most successful legal firms in the history of the North East of England. A child! I was a child!

People call me a fantasist but they never saw me when I was getting murderers and paedophiles jailed when I was 10, basically like Ally McBeal. In fact they wanted me to be in Ally McBeal instead of that skinny bitch, but I said no. I was too busy promoting vegetarianism, which I invented.

I don’t care about the money. I don’t even need money. If I didn’t have any money I could make anything I wanted: clothes, food, probably even a boat.

I’ve had death threats! Don’t forget about Marilyn Monroe. They killed Gandhi, they killed JFK, where is it going to end? I’d be happy with hardly any money. Fifty million, maybe a hundred. And I want a house.

Tuesday

I’ve got rid of my plumber too. If he can be a plumber, I can be a plumber. You think I can’t plumb? I left home when I was 7. I’m only thinking of my daughter. I’m thirsty and my carpets are wet. Maybe I should just jump off a cliff so she could be with Paul and everybody would be happy. Actually, somebody once threw me off a cliff. Yes! The highest cliff in the world. I was fine. Although not emotionally. But does anybody care about that?

I don’t have a lawyer but I do have a personal trainer, a hairdresser, a bodyguard, a make-up artist, my sister, my driver, my manicurist and my stylist. They all come with me to court. The papers think I’m just showing off. They’re on Paul’s side.

Nobody knows the truth. When I’m not here any more, you’ll all be sorry.

Wednesday

I’m in front of a mirror at home, practising how to shout and pout at the same time.

Look what we are doing to Kate McCann, for God’s sake! Look at Princess Diana! Do you know what it is like to be a veal calf? I’m in a prison! A prison! Three years of lies! What’s Ł60 million to him? I left home when I was 6 years old!

“Perhaps,” suggests my chiropodist, “the judge would prefer you to stick to the point?” So I’ve sacked my chiropodist too. At Christmas, they chop off the turkeys’ beaks. Are you okay with that? Because I’m not.

Thursday

I’m just trying to protect Paul. If I wanted money, I’d just go and work in a bank. You think I haven’t had offers? I love him but it’s time to go it alone. Does he have cameras in his face all day? Would we treat a battery hen like this?

The things I have been accused of! I didn’t kill my neighbours’ dog! And don’t think I don’t know what it is like to be a photographer. I probably used to be one. I probably won awards.

Friday

People are dying! So I’ve sacked the paparazzi and I’m doing that myself too. I’ve sacked everybody. You think it’s easy to wave a camera in your own face?

When I’m my own driver, and my own bodyguard, and my own make-up artist and my own sister too? Would a murderer have to do that? Would a paedophile? I’ve had enough! I’m going to sack Paul and divorce myself. I’m only thinking of my daughter. Ninety per cent of global warming comes from cows! I left home before I was born. You people make me sick.

Heather Mills has hired a forensic accountant to look into Paul's finances because she believes he didn't come clean on his earnings to the divorce court. AND she's claiming she can't take care of Beatrice on $70,000 A MONTH.

AND, she is not giving as much to charity as she is claiming. Less than 1/2 her Dancing with the Stars income was given to charity when she claimed she was giving away the whole thing.

Damn I thought she had gone away but it is not to be. I hope she falls off her fake leg.

I saw a news article today that authorities have found a buried parachute that they believe may have been the one used by the infamous DB Cooper, the most famous skyjacker of all time. They are going to try and match it with the back-up chute that he left in the plane. The children of a farmer found it when their dad was plowing a field. Where they found it matches up with the "jump zone." Cooper skyjacked a Northwest Airlines plane, demanded and got $200,000, jumped from the plane and has never been seen or heard from since.

...my sister in law had a stroke. I should say that she had multiple strokes. It's okay, she arrived home from therapy yesterday evening (Friday night) and seems to be doing extraordinarily well - even her doctors have remarked on that.

The therapy started about 45 minutes after arriving at the hospital emergency room - with an incredible bit of luck. Seems Winchester is blessed with one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation - and as a consequence, they had a device in the experimental test stage that involves laser stimulation. Red (my sister in law's elder sister, by one year - who found Linda on the floor of her living room, after getting an incoherent call on the phone from her house across the road from us) was informed by a tentative but determined doctor that 'she has about 40 minutes remaining for this to have any possibility of being effective'.

Do it.

Her head was shaved, a helmet was fitted, dark glasses were put on Linda and the doctor - curtains were drawn, and all was flashing light. My sister's husband, an anesthesiologist at UVA, had not heard of such a thing...and asked if the doctor arrived on a balloon from Oz...

The contrast between Linda before (incoherent, not responding to light, limp on her right side) and afterward was startling (coherent, some vision returning, and some uncoordinated movement returning to the right) to say the least. Doctors and therapists agree that she may see almost complete recovery.

Then last night, being unable to sleep (Red being across the road watching over Linda), I came across this:

I was going to go see The Bank Job but I opted for In Bruges instead. Boy am I glad I did! Excellent flick. Weird, black humor combined with drama and some severe violence all in the beautiful Medieval city of Bruges, in Belgium (I didn't know where it was either until I saw the movie). Two hit men get sent away from London after a job to Bruges to hide out, and a fairly complex but understandable plot ensues. Watching Ralph Fiennes fighting Brendan Gleeson was a bit odd considering the whole Valdemont/Mad Eye Moody thing, but once I flipped that out of my head, it was ok. They were both excellent, as was Colin Farrell, and his eyebrows. Irony and symbolism abounding, just a great flick. The old man sitting in my row laughed his head off through the whole thing. At the end he says to me "that movie makes you root for the bad guys!". I agree.

I don't know if anyone else is an archaelogy buff, but there was a real interesting discovery recently on the Ionian island of Lefkada. It is a Mycenaean tomb with artifacts that was discovered when a road was being built. The significant fact about the discovery is that it puts Mycenaeans on this island during the alleged time of Odysseus, and people are already speculating on whether or not this is the legendary island of Ithaca. I think that is just fascinating, on the other hand I'm visualizing Steve Reeves and bad dubbing!

Just getting over the flu, so I've had lots of time to spend on the internet. Has anybody else seen the most recent statistics on our current weather? Nationally, below normal temperatures, most snow mass coverage in years, and arctic ice 27 inches thicker than past years. Climatoligists say fewer solar flares are the cause of this. Doesn't it make sense that MORE solar flaring, like we've had the last few years, are responsible for the warmer temperatures? All I know is that I am sick of the snow and the cold. It will be below zero here again at the end of the week.
