• We watch Most Haunted now - for the laughs! Even when it seems like they found something interesting, it is VERY difficult to give it any credence - but the laughs always come. I liked Derek somewhat, and I really liked David Wells (not *that* David Wells, Amy ) - he seemed the most sincere. This new guy cracks me up, because he does the "spontaneous" drawings ahead of the show. • The money will come from the sale of Treasury Bonds. This is how the Government borrows money; everyone over the whole world can buy a Treasury Bond, and will receive approx. 3% interest. The key factor in getting all this money is to lend it out, to banks, at 4% interest - where there will be a PROFIT to the Government, and thereby ensure that we will not be delving into the pockets of 'our children, our grandchildren...etc. etc.' If Treasury Bonds fail, then the US Government is failing. • Yes! That was one of the best ones - I loved the "I'll take it." :D The EMF spikes could account for people feeling creeped out etc - but if the picture story was true - (it's too bad they didn't have it to show the team) - then that couldn't be caused by any hallucinations. • That is horrifying...I am pro-choice, but when things like that happen, it's what muddles up every reasoning. When babies are born at that time, they are considered a premature baby - and they can survive. I hope maybe the story is still too new to know what really happened...of course, it can also be a chance for the real story to be changed to something less terrible, and we might never know what is the truth - only that mother and the doctors will know. The woman made her free choice to have an abortion, recognizing at the time that she was not mature enough or financially able to raise a child. She has a clear case for malpractice.   • I don't think this issue is necessarily about the abortion debate. Although abortion is not a choice for me, I don't look poorly on anyone who has had to struggle with this decision. I think the discussion should be on what happens when things go wrong(in this case a baby born alive) and what the ethical thing to do in that situation should be. Sure there are alot of pressing things going on in the country, but each BIG thing could be boiled down to a uniquely individual decision. • So yeah, they painted it this hideous blue and broke the ignition and all the locks on the bike. They also broke the back tail light and took off the helmet carrier thing. We felt it wasn't worth it to fix it so we turned the title over to them and left. • Loved "Last Chance Harvery". It's not really sappy: it's alot more complicated than that. The premise is that Dustin Hoffman is going to London for his daughter's wedding. He's divorced from her mother and has been estranged from her for years. There are some classic lines. Dustin Hoffman runs into his ex-wife and says:"It only took 30 seconds and you make me feel like shit." He meets Emma Thompson and tells her about his family:"I always thought I embarrassed them. I didn't belong there." And later on in the movie, Emma Thompson tells Dustin Hoffman(when he failed to show up for a meeting with her) "I hoped you wouldn't show up. I couldn't take not being disappointed." Emma Thompson is just such a good actress, and this was a good part for Dustin Hoffman who tell her she is the first person who has spoken her mind to him and been honest.
