Time's running out to sign the board at http://www.voy.com/37165/ - only 34 left to "60 4 60" - here's hoping!
Meantime, though POTA is opening Friday the NY preem was supposedly Monday night - anyone see anything about it?

I saw a small article in the New York Post about the screening of POTA. Helena Bonham-Carter, Charlton Heston and Mark Wahlberg were in attendance, but there was no mention of DW. Broadway is dark on Monday nights, so he should have been free to attend. But maybe he didn't want to go out, or maybe he saw Harold Pinter's play 'The Homecoming' featuring his frequent co-star, Ian Holm, at Lincoln Center?

Hi all - Found no pics on Yahoo, nor does any advertising or promotion mention him, and nothing relating to Helena's character mentions she has a dad anymore. Hrmmm... shades of Babe II?
Meanwhile, I've posted my last few announcements for the b'day board and am going underground for a few days to prep (and do actual work, whatta concept). Luckily, I finally remembered an old, damaged shipment of Indian Silk paper that UPS gave me for free after punching a hole in the box in transit. There's a sheet of white with silver and one of pink with multicolor threads; plus I have two micropoint black markers and Derwent pencils in gold, silver, copper and metallic purple plus some orange-yellow silk tape. After fretting about hardware for the scroll (dowels or a cord to hang it with) I decided all that would be too unwieldy so I'm just tying it with a gold-trimmed red ribbon.
Cross yer fingers (if so inclined...)!!!!

Michael Clark Duncan was on the Tonight Show the other night talking about the movie. Of course, he didn't mention you-know-who, nor was he in the promo clip.

The Sci-Fi Channel will be airing a behind-the-scenes special about the movie tomorrow (Friday) at 7 p.m. Eastern time.

Also, the last issue of Starlog has another pic of DW in the film--they just *couldn't* have left him on the cutting-room floor! (That'd be a *real* bummer after all those hours of make-up he had to endure!) Perish the thought ...

There was a special on Fox 61 the other night. I was telling someone else. Saw several shots of DW in character. He was never mentioned by name.

I saw the Sci-Fi special. It was a special episode of Exposure (hosted by Tim Burton's girlfriend, Lisa Marie!), so most of it consisted of short films inspired by POTA. But in between, they showed a lot of actual POTA tidbits, including one extended dinner scene with DW and what seemed to be all the other characters. (One of the segments showed the make-up guy saying how all the actors complained when they were given their fake ape teeth that they couldn't talk with them in, and he just told them something like, "Oh yes you can, you just have to practice." Hate to tell him this, but even with the practice, *all* the apes I heard sounded like their mouths are full of marbles! I wonder why they didn't just dub in the dialog afterward!)

Of course, it was the same thing you said, SP--DW was never mentioned by name or seen out of the make-up on the special. But there's no mistaking That Voice (ape teeth and all)!

Tim Roth is on the Tonight Show (as I'm writing this), and the entire clip they showed was between him and DW, in close-up. Judging by the number of scenes I've seen of him from the movie, it seems like DW gets a decent-sized role in the movie. (Has anybody actually seen the movie yet?)

I was hoping Tim Roth would say something about working with DW, but ... well, you can guess. He was too busy revelling in how much he *loves* playing villains!
