Subject: New problem syncing Treo 300 to computer

 I used to have no problems syncing my Treo 300 from Sprint to my computer at home via the serial port - I would push the button on the cable, and it would say, "connecting with computer via USB/Serial Port," and the monitor would read, "Connecting with Handheld," then sync.

Now, it doesn't go past the "Connecting with Handheld" notice; and eventually I get the "Can't establish connection with computer" error. I've not seen this discussed anywhere - anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? I've tried changing and returning every setting I can think of, including slowing down the connection speed from "as fast as possible" and trying different Com ports (it used and uses com 1 only).

Any help e-mailed would be appreciated.
