I have a really hard time remembering how things sounded back in the day, aside from the fact that all of the FM stations were so much better sounding than KQV, WTAE, and all of the other AM stations that even on bad gear they sounded better. I honestly cannot compare how the stations sounded back in the day with how they sound now. It seems the human mind makes most memories better than they really were at the time. Could the issues with WDVE and WRRK have anything to do with the fact that they play older recordings while the other stations play newer recordings? Or could it have something to do with WDVE and WRRK wearing out their originals because they only play the same few "classics" over and over and over and over? (That last sentence was a sarcastic joke.)
