That 45 brings back some memories. For one thing, the song is on my MP3 player, in heavy rotation. Even though I know that the Fenways/Racket Squad were a bunch of adult studio musicians, they had that great, amateurish "garage rock" sound.

I'm also reminded of one of the best small scale concerts I attended back in high school. WAMO-FM sponsored a concert at the Bethel Roller Arena (now a hobby store!) featuring the Mind Garage with the Racket Squad as their opening act. Both bands were great, but I was really surprised that Ken Reeth (aka "Brother Love") did not even look a little bit like I expected him to.
