The name "Ted Eckman" rings a bell somehow. When we were little kids, we weren't aware that Cap'n Jim was just a guy playing a part. I do remember the puppet Doug Bug on Cap'n Jim. I remember Doug Bug trying to explain a Christmas song to the Cap'n that had letters. Turns out he was talking about "We Three Kings of R E N R". When you're under 10 years old, jokes like that are hilarious.
