During migration, American Pipits are regularly heard, flying overhead, along the lakeshore. It is much more difficult to see them on the ground. Any bare field or mud flat is a possibility, but there are no reliable locations for these transients.

Generally speaking, nasty weather from the north improves your chances of finding good birds on Lake Erie.
