Jake was just about perfect in his predictions. I would like to think that Columbia under Poppe will continue to surprise on the upside—excellent OL and TE; strong at QB, Townsend back and healthy at DE; really good coaching on both sides of the ball.

Another preseason poll and another last place predication for Brown. I think they will do better, but who cares what I think? This will be James Perry's sixth season as the skipper. So far, the results have been less than encouraging. This is not terribly surprising because Perry had very little head coaching experience. Yes, I know he was a great offensive coordinator, but the head job is so much more demanding. My guess is that he now stands on the edge of the precipice. Either he shows some progress, or he is shown the door. Perry may be a favorite son, but nobody likes to see their team in last place. Furthermore, Dr. Calhoun was hired to get results, and she has swung a very sharp axe since becoming the head of athletics. It will be interesting.

But Penn has been recruiting at least as well (if anything, better) than Dartmouth in the Priore era

For whatever reason, such has not been reflected in the real-world standings.
