Furling is great until it doesn't work! I just spent an hour helping a guy unstuck his mainsail furler. At dock with no wind. Because the main halyard connection came apart. I've had a foresail furler seize up, again I was lucky to be at the dock. I've decided that any sail that NEEDS a furler is too big for me. You can't beat them when they work, but I now always look at things and wonder "what if..."
