My criteria is cheapish under 30 feet and in reasonable condition. Preferably with a full keel. Thus boats from the mid 60s to mid 70s seem to be the majority (actually it is proving quite hard to find non-catalina/newporter boats here in SoCal)

The Dolphin was a random choice that appeared on craigslist and was even cheaper than the other possibles. The owner described it as a keel/centerboard combo but said he rarely used the centerboard. It's all irrelevant as this is the one boat I was contemplating that has sold!

I don't know anything about MORC racers.
