You would have to be *very* careful with a rocket stove on a boat. They generate a HUGE amount of heat. The first one I built was in a partially-built cob cottage. There was a tarp covering the site (the roof wasn't on yet) and there was about 12-14 feet clearance from the top of the (internal) chimney stack to the tarp. Didn't stop the tarp bursting into flame tho....
