gladehunter,

Anti hunters are just a small part and I don't have any proof one way or the other on this, it's always been assumed this is happening! The Antis are so much more ahead of us hunters in the Way of cash, organized and so on it ain't funny, that is a fact!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the only reason to go non-transferable is to stop the hoarding of permits? Is there no other benefit to making the change? Are you so sure it will get you in a prefered WMA any sooner

I hunt Toso, which is one of the top Hunted WMAs in florida, I get a permit there about every other year or two, I don't see me having a better chance then that. Then there's the ability to trade off permits, give them away when they don't get used, which from all the permits that i have had access to it works, it's not just "ME" here, every hunter who has been given a permit at some point is loosing if this happens! Please don't give me this Second or third phase either, with 60,000 some odd permits out there maybe Half or less are the prefered Hunts, divide that between say 150,000 hunters, how do you see your chances changing? every Hunter will be still putting in for those same hunts you are!

The bottom line for me is "I" will be loosing hunting days because "I" get permits given to me every year, good ones, so do thousand other hunters, this is a fact that can't be over looked!
Nobody including myself likes the Hording of permits issue, but Am I convinced that the overall ability to get out and Hunt is not at stake here, It is, The permits i get from trading or people not able to hunt those day are at stake here, these are over and above the Hunts I get myself, there's nothing eithically wrong with that part of the system, it keeps hunters in the woods and that is what the UHF is all about!

If, The FWC tells us that this new Change will in no way put Less hunters in the woods or Loose any hunting days on these Many "Quota only" WMAs, If it turns out that it is happening, the FWC will be willing to make changes to satisfy us then I'm on board! We have to ALL work together to find a better solution to satisfy everyone here, Making the best hunts a Go or loose it situation just ain't going to get it with me!

Mark
