        I completely agree with Kimmy here!! If ya look at Gavin Doherty's Dresses or infact any dresses from Ireland you will have a hard time finding something 'from the book of kells' in them!!! I know that politics is realllly big overseas but i was wondering if it visable over here in aus?? I have changed schools and dont want to fall victim to nastiness or bad judging like overseas.... any chance of this?

- i think in local comps politics is kinda visible, because the local judges are likely to know the top dances and therefore their judging may be biased. However I think most of the time judging here is fair! -- ..., 31/01/05 9:58

www.welovedonegal.com are hosts to the WORLDWIDE IRISH DANCER COMPETITION 2005. the competition is open to irish dancers worldwide, male and femail, age 3-30 years of age.

I am currently selling a red and white and gold eileen plater dancing dress. It would be suitable for dancers just breaking into open and has recently had sequined sleeves put on. It would be suitable for a dancer about 11 -14. The measurements are:
chest: 31"
waist: 26"
sleeve length: 20"
bodice length - shoulder to waist: 16 1/2"
shoulder to shoulder across front: 13 1/2"
full dress length: 34"

- the worlds are usually during or just before the easter weekend so that is probably why. not 100% sure though. when i went last year it was in easter week, it finished on easter sunday! (NT) -- *bumblemonkey*, 2/01/05 18:47

I am currently setting up a website and am aiming to get lots of photos of either presentations, or 'fun' dancing photos, or any other dancing related photos.
