People filling his head with NBA nonsense. It has gone to his head and he has not gotten any better and in fact has gotten worse as a player over the last couple of years. The injury excuse is not cutting it anymore. He'd better wake up and stop listening to these 2 or 3 people who keep telling him he's a lottery pick in 2008. If he doesn't get his act together, and get his mind right, he is going to be very disappointed when he goes to Illinois and never gets meaningful minutes. I don't think people who spend 3 years buried on a bench in college get taken in the lottery. He can dominate players in high school and especially his conference, but when he goes against players of equal or greater size, talent and ability he gets outplayed. It happened all spring and summer. No one in Illinois other than Shaun Livingston should have making the NBA as a priority in their mind. It's fine to have the NBA as a long-range goal in the back of your mind. It should not be at the top of the list for Pruitt. He should focus on staying healthy and actually doing something in high school. Then he needs to go to college and avoid being the 13th man. When he has success in college then he can think about the NBA. The fact that he was recruited by all those big time schools is great, he should be proud. But realize you were their 3rd, 4th or even 5th choice in the end and many stopped recruiting you. That should tell you you are not a guarenteed lottery pick. Hopefully Pruitt is getting better advice than he gets from these few people on the net who insist on telling him how great he is. He could be great, but right now, he is not and is not even very good from what most people seem to have observed this year. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
