With the weather having tamed down a little from the days before, he felt it was safe to venture out of the gym and into the great outdoors for his daily workouts - practically a prerequisite for even one shift with the RDPD. He'd already come three miles, and had another stretch to do out here before he doubled back - he wasn't typically out this late in the day to run, but he'd gotten caught up on the phone with his sister, who was having a rough go of Christmas this year, and who had also patched him through to their mother so they could all have a little chat. Neither one wanted to face up to the fact that he'd drawn a bad shift for the majority of the holidays and wasn't going to be able to fly back all the way across the country to visit them. It bothered him that the two leading women in his life were so upset, but he had worked far too hard to be a cop, and there was no way he would give it up for some holiday cheer. Some called it heartlessness, he called it dedication. Enjoying the burn in his muscles, he continued up the sand, checking his watch.

  • Her attention was focussed mostly on her feet as she trudged her way down the chilly beach - but atleast it was clear and not snowing, of course she wasn't much in the mood for playing the optimist. Glancing up though to take a quick look in the direction she was going, she spotted the figure on his way towards hers - but she wasn't quite sure if it was him, so just continued on, crossing her arms slow underneath her chest. Seeing him had definite potential to brighten her evening maybe a little bit, but she wasn't about to get her hopes up, because with her luck it wouldn't be him or anyone else who she knew...
