Subject: She smiled a little at that and her head tilted delicately at his offer - the idea hadn't even occurred to her, simply because she hadn't expected him to be alone this Christmas as well. After a moment, she nodded, arms crossed under her chest tightening a little around herself - so it wasn't Hawaii and her family, but the more time that she spent with him, the more she enjoyed his company, and being around anyone was a million times better than being by herself. "Really? That'd be so great.. But why aren't you doing the family thing?"

  • He nodded firmly, to reiterate the idea. "Yes, you and I will do that together then." At her second question, he paused a moment, pursing his lips. "Well my family's on the other side of the country too - what family I have." It was really only his ma and little sister that he would even consider going back there for, and even that thought wasn't always enough to make him homesick. He had more than enough left back in LA to make him want to stay here forever, that was for sure. It was like a slap in his face, going back there, remembering the person he'd been previously - maybe that was why he was so inherently secretive - to hide the person he had been.
