Thanks for your message Carole. For your information I manage this website and am also a Parish Councillor. I posted this somewhat provocative message to get the Forum active again after it was hacked.
Many people in the houses backing on to these sites also thought that the selling of this land by Jelsons was not very socially responsible. The last Parish Meeting had about 30 people living in the village complaining about the sale of the land. I don't know if you were there but they were very angry. My post reflected their views. Often people don't know who to complain to and I was only providing a URL to make their views known.
Jelsons probably build good houses but their PR is not good. Other firms had public meetings about their proposed developments but Jelsons did not. Socially responsible firms hold public meetings explaining what they are going to do and asking for the views of neighbours.
