Crime no: LC/05012/14-0

Did you witness a burglary in Mountsorrel in which two men entered a house in Rothley Road and assaulted the occupant?

The incident happened at 7.30pm on Saturday November 29.

The men demanded money and assaulted the victim, a 46-year old woman, to the hand and face. She received minor injuries but managed to get the suspects out of the house without them taking any property.

Both suspects are described as white, between 17 and 22 years and of average build. One was wearing a hooded ‘Lonsdale’ top and the other was wearing a black jacket and red cap.

Officers have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries and distributing leaflets to residents to make them aware of the incident.

If you witnessed the burglary or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time, please contact PC 1948 Chris Hayton on 101.

Please follow the instructions to leave a message for the officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
