Her brow furrows with confusion at his inquiry, "Huh? Ethan, is he here?" She was completely clueless, "I don't think he's done anything that you don't already know about." Her fingers gingerly move over her jaw, swallowing a bit, realizing he was referring to it, "Uh no, Ethan didn't do this, I haven't seen Ethan in awhile." Glances behind them and then in front of them, waiting until they were in the elevator before she revealed the true culprit, "My mom didn't like that I was late." And her words were simple, without much emotion, though she was quiet afterwards - he didn't need to know the particulars. She hummed along with the elevator music, which was featuring At Last by Etta James, she rememberd how much she'd used to love this song - and it made her smile now.
